| Tell me about the endangered African Painted Dog Project...
The African Painted Dog (a.k.a.
African Wild Dog, Cape Hunting Dog) is amongst the
most endangered predators in
the world. Over 500,000 wild dogs roamed Africa
just 100 years ago. Current estimates put today's wild
dog population
around 2,500. The
largest remaining populations are found in Tanzania.
In collaboration with CS Wildlife Fund we are raising funds for:
- Establishment of the Tanzania Painted Dog Conservation Project
- Community Education & Awareness
- Painted Dog Population Census
- Snare removal, rehabilitation & monitoring
