"Thank you for the wonderful safari. It surpassed our expectations and your recommendations were spot-on. The wildebeest (and zebra!) migration was amazing ... we saw the Mara river crossings and even saw a crocodile try go for a wildebeest!
The gorilla tracking in Rwanda was fantastic, if a little hard work in places. The huge silverback gorilla got pretty close to us too - very exciting! Thanks once again for everything. :)

"Just got home & already want to come back! Selous was fabulous, and we loved the river boat safaris... we got to see elephants crossing the river! Ruaha was just amazing - the feeling of being in the vast wilderness is indescribable. The wildlife was incredible - big herds of everything, and our favourite, a pride of 26 lions with their cubs! We were even lucky enough to see elephants digging for water in the sand river... from our tent! Thank you so much for our most incredible adventure in Africa to date! We will be calling you again very soon!"

"First and foremost, thank you and thank you for a memorable 12 days...We shall never forget this trip. The camps, the Masai, and our guide Harry were top notch. Indeed they went the extra distance for us as we were on our honeymoon, with many, many surprises. They made a special breakfast for us after a long walk and we tracked a leopard. The transfers all went without a single hitch, even though our itinerary was sometimes complex and we had to leave bags behind. Thank you again."

"[The experience was] exceptional. The attention to detail was outstanding and the personal attention to all our needs was just wonderful. Mark had suggested an itinerary for us and when I mentioned that my husband would be just 16 weeks from a knee replacement when our itinerary started he suggested reversing the itinerary - We are so glad he did we all (4 of us) agreed the itinerary was perfect."

Kenya &
Tanzania, November 2008 - Allen & Pat, USA
We had a wonderful time. All
the accommodations were excellent and all scheduled transports
worked well. We felt very comfortable.
It's hard to pick a favorite place in Kenya. Animal
life was abundant in all places. If we had to
pick a favorite camp it would be Olonana. Everything
about it was wonderful (hippos off our deck) and the staff
was exceptional. Their assistant manager Maurice made
it a point to always make you feel welcome and important.
No doubt we will try to come back.
One thing we would like to have changed. Our time
was too short in Giraffe Manor. We arrived just in
time for lunch, then had only 30 minutes to view the giraffes
before departing again for the airport. It looked
like a very nice place to stay overnight.
We could not deal with Stonetown vendors and
so called guides. It was overwhelming. Zanzibar
airport was quite a thrill! How all connections were
made and our luggage made it through [home] is
beyond our belief.
We just want to reiterate that we had a great adventure,
took some wonderful pictures and video, and saw lots of
exceptional game including a Topi giving birth. It
took only 10 minutes from drop to standing up. Quite
a show! We look forward to future safaris and would
certainly utilize Conservation Safaris. Thank you
for all your help and personal attention including the phone
call in Zanzibar.

Tanzania
& Zanzibar, October 2008 - Julia, Yves, Edouard,
Constance, Guillaume, Belgium
We loved our safari!
Our guide Deo gratias was great.
A few comments:
the hotel in arusha was so so (food) excellent.
serena on the rim of the crater was v. nice. (although
there is a tented camp on the rim, some americans who
had stayed there told us)
Olakira was great! We loved it. Even though we had
a few frights!
a herd of elephants with their young! about 20, came twice
into the camp once in the afternoon while we were having
tea and then again at night all around our tents....
they were like 2 mtrs away from us... rather dangerous
but we have great pictures.
I liked Ras Nungwi in zanzibar although we didn't
really have a sea front room...food v good, nice staff,
funky feel to it ( bathrooms so so)
We will come back one day as our children would like to
do Kilimanjaro and apparently Tarangire is really
a must... there is a tree next to a watering hole, where
you can sleep (same americans told us...) and is amazing.
Anyway, thank you for everything. We will definitely
pass on your name to friends.
best wishes for 2009

Tanzania,
April 2008 - Beth & Gordon, USA
We've been back from our safari for over a month now and
still talking about it. What a fabulous trip starting with
such great communications from [you] (as well as a face
to face visit in Dar). All our questions were answered
before leaving.
We loved Innocent, our safari guide. What a dear. So
patient with us and with a great sense of humor. He
really knew his stuff too. He has a wealth of knowledge
but somehow gave us enough information without giving too
much. He was very respectful of the land and animals.
Many times we couldn't believe how close we were to the
wildlife.
Our accommodations were wonderful and of course the Ngorangora
Crater Lodge was spectacular! We do miss George our
butler though and wish he could have come home with us.
We give the whole experience an A++++ and have been referring
friends to your company. We've been showing off our
pictures to everyone.
We really can't think of any improvements you need to make. Our
safari holiday was perfect and we'll remember it forever.
Thank you for our once in a life-time adventure. If
we should be so fortunate to be able to return to Africa,
we will be sure to use Conservation Safari.
We've enclosed a couple of pictures.

Tanzania
& Zanzibar, April 2008 - Rod, Karen, Billy
& Sophia, Canada
The trip was fantastic.
The guide was great, he was very knowledgeable and able
to find animals we would have driven by. The car was
good, we saw more than we could have expected including
an attempted kill by some cheetahs'.
The hotels were great and especially the Sopa in Serengeti.
While the other hotels were good the staff at the Sopa were
a cut above the rest.
The kids loved the small plane ride from Arusha to Zanzibar
as well.
If I were to do anything differently I would have packed
less luggage (You told me that) and I would have spent the
extra money to fly back from the Serengeti as the drives
was long and the same as the drive up. I also would have
gone straight to Ngorgoro or Lake manyara as opposed to
staying in Arusha on the first day. That said I am very
happy with what we did.
The sequence of Safari, Stonetown and Zanz resort was perfect.
For interest we decided to stay at Ocean Paradise and we
could not have asked for better.
We took about 3000 photo's most of them in the parks. A
couple were sensational and when we get them sorted we will
send the best 4 or 5 to you. We tell everyone they should
do this holiday at least once in their lives.
Thanks very much for your organization of the trip on short
notice, all the hotels had us set up with the right type
of beds and connecting rooms. Sopa did not have connecting
rooms but fixed it immediately for us and there we no issues.
Regards
Rod, Karen, Billy and Sophia

Tanzania & Zanzibar,
September 2007 - Jitka & Tomas, Ireland
So we are already at home, safe and sound as the Irish
would say and we would love to say few words regarding our
safari.
First of all, we have to say big Thank you to You and
your team for organizing our itinerary as it did not have
a mistake not even a little hiccup. Our safari experience
was absolutely fabulous and we can very confidently say
that it was a holiday of a life time.... it really overcame
all of our expectations.
Accommodation was just superb and food really tasty and
if I should pick the best of the lodges then it was definitely
Serengeti Serena Lodge. Not only the food was delicious
but also the whole setting of this lodge is just fantastic.
Zanzibar extension was very nice too.
Overall, I have to repeat that it was a holiday of a life
time and if somebody from my friends would ask me about
safari holidays then I would definitely recommend your company
for the top class service that You provide. Once again,
thank you very much for your help.
So, regards and thanks to all in your team.

Tanzania,
June 2007 - Susan & Doug, USA
Our safari was so awesome, Thank
you so much for all of your hard work & planning. I
don't know where to begin! This may take awhile, I am not
a short winded person.
First, Samson was a great driver/guide,
very professional & knowledgeable. Also an amazing spotter.
He was very easy to get along with, & was good at recommending
things based on his experience. He did not lead
us astray. He's a definite asset to the company.
Mark introduced himself & wanted
to make sure everything was up to par. A great
way to start the safari. The accommodations were great, & they
got better with each one. All were very comfortable, & had
their own individual charm.
Kikoti, what a place in the
middle of nowhere. Jen & Peter were most attentive
as well as their staff. I enjoyed their extra curricular
activities, a walk to the Overlook, a Night Game Drive & the
Maasai Dance. I loved the rooms/cabins.
Ngorongoro Farmhouse, a great
place, such a wonderful setting, & the lush landscaping. They
had the friendliest employees of any of the lodges.
We took the Farmhouse walk & the Coffee Tour. Loved
the fireplaces in the room. Overall, this was my favorite,
just a down home, friendly atmosphere.
Mbalageti, this was the most
awesome place, accommodation- wise. What a view from our
upgraded chalet, & the bathtub on the patio, was a
nice touch. I loved their African Art, Once again,
I had a great massage in their massage "room." Nothing
better than to have a glass of wine by the pool & watch
the most phenomenal sunsets.
The Hot Air Balloon Ride, was
definitely one of the highlights. Seeing the vastness of
the Wildebeest Herds, their trails & hearing
them. Such a different perspective, than being in a Toyota
next to them. An experience no one should miss. A
definite must!
I can't thank you enough for
a most memorable vacation, now on the top of my list.
We will definitely call you
for a revisit, or if we plan an Australian trip.
Thanks again,
Susan & Doug D, USA

Kenya, Tanzania & Zanzibar,
September 2007 - Jodie & Daniel, Australia
The trip went without a hitch, which surprised us a bit! Had
a fantastic time and will definitely be back. It's
an amazing place and the people are wonderful to be around. Just
need to sift through all the photos now!!
We really enjoyed the Masai Mara, it was extremely exciting
to get so close to the animals and the conservancy was perfect
with limited vehicle numbers etc. It was the highlight
of the trip for us. We saw quite a few wilderbeast,
to say the least, and got to see their stressful crossing
of the river with the crocs waiting to knock off the stragglers
- although they were a bit full from the previous meal
so no action there. It was one of those morbid fascination
times, where you were hoping they got over safely but seeing
one get taken would have been pretty exciting.
We were looked after very well from all the staff at the
camps and the African people are a joy to be around. We
made an extra effort to learn Swahili and we felt they really
appreciated this, albeit a few strange looks when we got
it wrong!! The best place we stayed at was the Kikoti
camp, it had a great feel about it and sleeping with the
wind blowing through the flyscreen walls was just magic. We
went for a walk there every evening with the 2 guides and
as nobody else wanted to walk we were on our own. It
was really special sitting up on the rocks for the sunset. We
witnessed the baboons climbing on shear rock faces to their
night-time location on top of the rocks and the Rock Hyraxes
were so cute.
Food was fantastic. Also, we didn't get sick.
The crater itself was fascinating with so much going on
in a small space. Got a bit busy there and extremely
dusty, however, we were expecting that. The game drives
were great however.
